Occupational Therapy Services
Occupational therapy holistically looks at a child and what underlying skills may be impacting full engagement, participation and developmentally appropriate independence in those occupations. This can include but is not limited to sensory processing, body awareness, core, neck, and upper extremity strength, fine and visual motor skills, visual perception, and more.
We work with families of children 0-6 years old in their home environment to better understand how to support their child’s development to maximize the family’s quality of life.
OT Evaluations
An occupational therapy evaluation allows us to gather a holistic picture of your child's development in their home setting. This includes, but is not limited to, parent interview, medical history review, play observation, informal observations, and formal assessments depending on your child's needs. Following the evaluation, a written report will be provided, with a plan of care if services are deemed necessary. Evaluations are typically 60-90 minutes.
A virtual parent meeting is included to review and answer questions.
Rooted Beginnings offers both comprehensive + targeted evaluations.
Mobile Occupational Therapy Sessions
Occupational therapy sessions in a variety of environments including your home, community, and playgrounds. Sessions can be completed in or outside depending upon needs and weather. Sessions include direct 1-1 therapy with your child as well as parent coaching/recap. Sessions are 60 minutes.
Sessions are typically 1-2x week and address your child's plan of care/goals following the initial evaluation.
Virtual Consultations
Not sure that your child needs weekly occupational therapy but have questions on how best to support their development or sensory needs? A virtual consultation may be what you are looking for. We work with you on topics related to sensory processing, motor development, sleep routines, and a developmental perspective on potty learning.

Good Faith Estimate
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.
This form may be used by the health care providers to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program (uninsured individuals), or individuals who are enrolled but not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage (self-pay individuals) of their right to a “Good Faith Estimate” to help them estimate the expected charges they may be billed for receiving certain health care items and services. Information regarding the availability of a “Good Faith Estimate” must be prominently displayed on the convening provider’s and convening facility’s website and in the office and on-site where scheduling or questions about the cost of health care occur.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
